3. Quotes & Enquiries

A booking is not confirmed until:

  • A written booking confirmation is issued by us, and

  • Any required deposit has been received and cleared

4. Bookings & Payments

4.1 Deposits

A non-refundable deposit (usually 20% of the total cost) is required to secure your booking. The exact amount will be stated in your quote or invoice.

4.2 Final Payment

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before the event date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4.3 Late Payments

We reserve the right to:

  • Charge interest on overdue payments, and/or

  • Cancel the booking if payment deadlines are not met

5. Cancellations & Changes

5.1 Client Cancellations

If you cancel your booking:

  • Deposits are non-refundable

  • Cancellations within 14 days of the event may be charged up to 100% of the total booking value

5.2 Changes

Any changes to dates, locations, or requirements must be requested in writing. We will attempt to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability.

6. Site Conditions & Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The site is suitable for marquee installation

  • Ground conditions are safe, level, and free from underground hazards

  • Access is available for delivery vehicles and installation crews

  • Any required permissions, licences, or approvals are obtained

Additional costs may apply if site conditions differ from those described at the time of booking.

7. Weather & Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays, damage, or cancellation caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather conditions

  • Acts of God

  • Government restrictions

  • Strikes or transport disruptions

In such cases, we will act reasonably to minimise disruption but refunds are not guaranteed.

8. Damage, Loss & Liability

8.1 Damage

You are responsible for any loss or damage to hired equipment occurring during the hire period, except for fair wear and tear.

8.2 Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the total value of the booking

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, images, logos, and branding, is the property of NK Marquees or its licensors and may not be used without permission.
